A very fine example of a Knight's Templar fob charm or pendant made in 14k rose gold circa 1880-1900 (the Victorian to Edwardian period.) The front depicts a red enamel cross and gold crown within a circle of white enamel with gold letters reading "in hoc signo vinces," - which translates to "in this sign, thou shalt conquer." Atop the large cross which is inlaid with a black stone, likely onyx, is a knight's head. The top section of the fob pivots! (See pictures.) 

The back of the charm has a circle framed with white enamel with the letters "HTWSSTKS." These stand for, "Hiram, Tyrian, Widow's Son, Sendeth to King Solomon." The inner circle has two Masonic hand engraved compasses and a square ruler.

The fob measures 1.5" by 7/8" (not including the bale). The items is 14k gold (with the exception of the hanging bale) and the total weight of the fob is approximately 9.4 grams. Gemoro tested. Very good to excellent vintage condition.
